Here is our grocery haul from Trader Joes this week.

That lovely wreath on the left will be our Advent wreath! Learn more about our Advent plans here…

Lately I have been going to Aldi first to find what is on my list for cheap, and then over to Trader Joes for the rest. We just got back from Thanksgiving in Georgia, however, so this week the girls and I were so tired that we skipped Aldi.

Here is this weeks dinner menu:

Monday/Tuesday ~ 7 Minute Instant Pot Chicken Drumsticks and Greek Quinoa Salad
Wednesday/Thursday ~ Sausage and Quinoa Stuffed Bell Peppers, Green Beans with Balsamic Vinegar
Friday ~ Fish Tacos with Pico de Gallo, Carmelized Parsnips
Saturday/Sunday ~ Chicken, Bean, and Veggie Burritos with Cilantro Lime Sour Cream, Roasted Carrots

(Follow me on Instagram if you want to see photos of our meals throughout the week)

The Greek salad, stuffed bell peppers, fish tacos, and burritos are all recipes from the 100 Days of Real Food Cookbooks, found here and here on Amazon. I also did a whole post about these cookbooks here if you want to read about why we love them so much!

I was super excited to find these tortillas at Trader Joes with just 3 clean ingredients for our tacos!

I also grabbed a can of Jackfruit for a fun lunch this Saturday. I see cooking videos all over Facebook of people using it instead of meat in faux pulled pork type sandwiches, so I think it will also make a fun addition to our meatless Friday menus if we like it. Anyone else out there try this stuff already?

We will go to Whole Foods later this week for milk. They’re the closest place to get minimally pasteurized, non-homogenized milk near us. I will also grab the fish for our fish tacos there.

I hope you’re having a good week so far, and be sure to check back, because I have two giveaways from some great Catholic companies coming your way on Friday and Monday!

  1. We are big fans of jackfruit in our house! So far we’ve only tried a couple flavored ones but we’re very interested to try one fresh one of these days. Curious to taste it raw.
