My name is Mariette, and I am excited to share my Faith, family and pursuits in natural living with you here!
When I was 18 I moved a few hours from my parents house to be near an amazing Catholic church community. After 6 years of living on my own and working as an office manager, I met Ethan on Catholic Match of all places. It was the summer of 2013, and we were married a year to the day later.
We have been blessed with three sweet little girls; Philomena is 6 and Zelie is 4, and Felicity is 1.
For about the last ten years my interests in natural living have grown with me. I used to be a diet-food junkie with no thought of anything natural. As time has gone on I’ve grown not only in my real-food journey, but also in caring for my family naturally. From alternative remedies, breastfeeding, and co-sleeping, to non-toxic cleaning, re-usable everything, cloth diapers, homebirth, and babywearing, we are finding that our family thrives when we do things naturally.
We live a simple life (alas, no gorgeous white farmhouses here!), but I love sharing what I’m doing to organize, live thriftily, and save time in our humble home.
I am passionate about my Catholic Faith and am especially devoted to the Traditional Latin Mass. Slowly we are trying to build up our home, our domestic church, to be a place where we grow not only in health, but most importantly, holiness.
